- Delays may occur due to requisitions, backlog, or third-party issues.
We shall not be liable for:
- delays in registration outside Our reasonable control;
- consequences arising from such delays, including financial or transactional losses;
- errors in the register caused by incorrect or incomplete information provided to Us.
You are responsible for promptly reviewing title documents and notifying Us of any discrepancies.
Cybercrime and Fraud Warning
- Risk of Cyber Fraud — Property transactions are a known target for cybercrime, including email interception and payment diversion fraud.
- No Change to Bank Details by Email — We will never notify You of a change to Our bank details solely by email. If You receive any communication suggesting a change to payment details, You must:
- treat it as potentially fraudulent; and
- contact Us immediately using independently verified contact details.
- Client Responsibility for Payments — Before transferring funds, You must verify Our bank details by speaking directly to a member of Our firm using known contact information. We accept no liability for losses arising from:
- funds sent to incorrect bank accounts;
- reliance on fraudulent communications not verified with Us;
- compromised email accounts or systems outside Our control.
- Secure Communications — While We take reasonable steps to secure communications, We cannot guarantee that email or electronic communications will be secure or free from interception. You accept the risks associated with electronic communication unless alternative arrangements are agreed.
