Our Story
The evolution of Sharpwell Property Law
Sharpwell Property Law brings together the foundations of an established legal practice with a clear vision for a modern, specialist property law firm.
The firm previously operated as Winrows Law Limited for approximately 20 years before being acquired by Tatiana and Ian and subsequently rebranded as Sharpwell Property Law.
Tatiana and Ian brought complementary experience to the next chapter of the firm. Tatiana, a property solicitor with more than 20 years’ experience and an active property investor and developer, brought both legal expertise and first-hand understanding of the realities of property transactions. Ian brought more than 30 years’ experience within SRA-regulated law firms, including senior Finance Director and CFO roles, together with extensive experience in financial management, governance and regulatory compliance.
Together, they set out to develop the established practice into a specialist property law firm built around three core areas of expertise: Residential Property, Commercial Property and International Funds Compliance.
Their shared vision was simple: property lawyers should do more than process a transaction. They should understand the client’s objectives, identify issues early, communicate clearly and take an active role in moving the transaction towards completion.
Today, that philosophy shapes how Sharpwell works. We combine specialist property law expertise with commercial awareness, rigorous compliance and a proactive, solution-focused approach supporting UK and international clients through property transactions that range from straightforward acquisitions and disposals to complex investment, development, financing and cross-border matters.

Our CEO, Tatiana Sharposhnikova, is a highly accomplished Property Solicitor with over 20 years of extensive experience in property law and development. She has a proven track record of advising UK resident and non-resident property developers, investors, and private clients, offering unparalleled expertise in navigating the complexities of property transactions and development projects.
Ian Boswell
Director of Finance & Administration
Ian is Sharpwell Property Law’s Director of Finance & Administration, bringing with him an impressive 30 years of experience working in SRA-regulated firms. Throughout his career, Ian has primarily operated at the board and executive committee level as a Finance Director or CFO, demonstrating exceptional leadership and financial expertise.

Our team combines expertise in Residential Property, Commercial Property and International Funds Compliance, allowing us to consider the transaction as a whole.

Our funds and compliance specialists support UK and international transactions, including source-of-funds and source-of-wealth checks, anti-money laundering and sanctions requirements.
This combined approach is particularly valuable for international clients and property investors, where legal, financial and compliance matters often need to be addressed together.
